The recording process is an art form. From microphone selection and placement to the proper use of dynamics and equalization, our engineers have the training and experience to record any style of music. We can handle almost any recording setup from vocals and overdubs to setting up an entire band live with isolation to get the feel of a group with the ability to overdub/edit or re-track anything late.

We offer vocal tuning, drum alignment, drum sample replacement, re-amping, and a variety of ways to help clean up, organize and tighten your music to sound like the pro’s. Our engineers have years of experience working on Pro Tools with major label acts getting the best out of every performance, whatever it takes.
At World Famous Studios we are capable of mixing in both the digital and analog realms depending on the customer’s needs. Often we do a hybrid of the two, taking advantage of the audio quality benefits of analog and our fantastic Amek Rembrandt console, while benefiting from the speed, flexibility and editing capabilities of Pro Tools for the best of both worlds. We can also “print” the mixes from the console to our beautiful Ampex ATR-102 ½” tape recorder to give them the analog “warmth” that is often lacking in todays digital recordings.
You can also bring tracks you recorded at home or another studio. We’ll take your tracks and your vision and elevate them to a level you only dreamed of!
We also accept projects via the internet and mail as a convenience for those clients that are unable to attend their session.

For those of you who are in the planning or construction phase of your studio, it's important to plan for everything now! Wire runs, mic panel locations, wire conduits, troughs, and control room routing need to be planned. Wire runs, Air conditioning, acoustics, electricity, and equipment are all things that can affect your build. After years of building and wiring studios we see many of the same mistakes due to improper planning. Let us help you avoid these same pitfalls.
World Famous Studios owner, Pete deBoer, has an extensive background in studio design, construction and wiring, working on many studios in the New York City area including design, construction and wiring of Ron Saint Germain's personal recording/mixing studio "Saint's Place" featuring an Amek 9098i large format analogue mixing console. All audio wiring was personally designed, built and installed by Pete. Other studio projects include: Studio G Brooklyn, The Shed, Music for Picture, Studio 57, Sailor Records, W Hotel Union Square NYC, Carter Burwell's personal studio, Biohazard's "Rat Piss Studios" and all the locations of World Famous Studios over the years.
The unsung hero of any studio is its wiring. Nobody sees it or thinks about it but your audio runs through miles of it.
World Famous Studios can take care of all of your studio wiring needs. We custom design what you need for your gear, fitted to how you work, and prewired for how you intend to expand. We offer Custom TT patchbays, multi channel snake cables and can also save you money on mic and guitar cables.
Do you need a wiring crew for on site jobs? We go anywhere you need. Extra hands for audio installs, We got 'em. We can also pre-fab your cables and ship them to you. Wiring is expensive, Don't pay twice!
Half day sessions are 4 hours and include a house engineer. Start times for half day sessions are 12pm or 6pm to allow for session break down and any potential over time.
Full day sessions are 10 hours and include a house engineer. Full day sessions have a start time of 12pm. Any time over the scheduled 10 hours will be subject to overtime costs at the engineers discression.
